I got into a Twitter chat with one of my imaginary friends, @iMommygame the other day, and somehow that evolved into my making a silly (and SFW) video while my kids were napping.
So far, a couple people seem to think it's pretty funny. If you agree, please don't hesitate to share the video by copying the URL (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=kLnbLbF39jc), or just share this blog post using the handy buttons at the bottom. Stupider things have gotten popular on the YouTube.
Have a nice day, y'all.
dude, u even got the chair tilted like his!. what is scary is your (acting) likeness.. lol... well done, there should be some sort of Rootin'Tootin'Cowpoke Award.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm "acting"!
DeleteI find the fact that you have the same shirt as him kind of disturbing.
ReplyDeleteI nearly choked on my water when you said "jammies." That was great!
Your video = Awesome!
Yeah, that was a weird coincidence. It was the last holdout from my flannel collection of 1989-1993.
DeleteSo funny. I laughed and laughed. I didn't like the original video at ALL, but I give yours a thumbs up. Together, parents across America can keep these unruly preschoolers in their place!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, buddy!
DeleteHa-ha!
ReplyDeleteApproved! That teach her she smuggle dolly girl. Kids need to be taught a lesson. About time someone stood up to toddlers!
Yeah! Lessons that go boom!
DeleteJust popped by, by way of BHJ's. You've got the greatest friggin' header ever. I love it ... though it did freak me out for a moment that you might be one of my co-workers, who has also had twins. They are half Japanese. To show my ignorance, I don't even know if the header is in Japan. It could be Korea for all I know.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I wish I could take credit for the header, or even tell you definitively whether that's Japan or Korea. A reader made it for me. All I did is make the Godzillas.
DeleteThat was soooo funny. I too have been abused and dictated to by a bossy toddler and this video should be a lesson to them all. Lmao
ReplyDeleteI hope you have shown it to your kid. For his/her sake.
DeleteI am dying over here. This is so great. 18 ... um, 2012.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, though. 2 year olds try to get away with everything! If only Pampers made more cruise missiles ....
We can't let the terrorists win!
DeleteYou are my hero! funny as hell!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm the wind beneath my own wings.
DeleteI love it! Did a post about it here: http://www.unknownmami.com/2012/02/dads-gone-wild.html
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you the last time I laughed that hard.
ReplyDeleteI love it when you laugh!
DeleteThat was awesome.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteOmg,
ReplyDeleteYou are damn hilareous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
next step: a panel on parenting with rootin-tootin' dad and betadad
ReplyDeletei'm so there.
I heard that guy makes a wicked power point!
DeleteIt's cool too cuz you got Seann William Scott to play you!
ReplyDeleteWell, he's my nephew, so he kinda had to do it.
DeleteI snorted. Didn't the twins wake up when you blew up dolly girl?! ;)
ReplyDeleteThey might have stirred a little.
DeleteI got the parents magazine in the mail today and the dadcentric blog was mentioned so I decided to check it out! Then I saw this video!! Haha! I have shared it on my fb page, too funny! Love all your other blogs too!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! The Parents thing. I gotta check that out. Thanks for reminding me, and thanks for reading and sharing!
DeleteF***ing hilarious. You're great on camera. Never stop blogging ever :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I cringe a little when I watch it, but maybe you're onto something...
Deletesweet mercy. First time I've been to your blog and I think I'm hooked. It took me a sec before I realized this was a different video!
ReplyDeleteI am constantly amazed with "good parents" who are unable to see down the road a few years and parent now for what will come later. This teenager didn't get a smart mouth over night, she was taught how to behave from the very start.
As a parent you get as good as you give and expect. Want a kid who talks back? Talk back to your spouse and yell at your kid. Want a kid who respects you and others, you may want to respect them also.
A wise man once said "There should be no yelling in the home unless the house is on fire" -Gordon B Hinkley (I want to add: "Who is the adult?")
You did a great parody of this infamous "dad". I am sure some day in the not so far off future his daughter will reform. Or get herself a gun. What an example of unconditional fatherly love he set. What a dad.
Thanks for your kind words! As much as I agree with you, I really need to take Hinkley's message to heart. I've been super-cranky with my kids lately, and feel terrible about it. Just have to keep trying to get better at it, I guess.
DeleteHey, it's a learning curve. When I first started out I was sure they were going to put "Ol Yeller" on my headstone instead of my name. It's all good if we are at least aware that we're horrid at times, right? : ) I finally found ways to not yell; and seriously, the older your kids get, the easier they get, at least in our house. (who can reason with a toddler?)Good luck!
DeleteI am going to admit that I have come here to watch this a bunch of times now, and laugh just as hard each time. You did such a great job.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ryan! Glad you enjoyed it.
